Special Night Eagle Edition of Jeep Compass to be launched soon: Everything from body color, wheels, seats to system black

Jeep India is soon set to introduce a special edition variant of the Compass SUV, dubbed the Night Eagle. It will be based on the mid-spec longitude plus trim level and will be launched in the coming weeks. The company has also released a teaser image of the Knight Eagle on its official Instagram handle.
What will be new in the compass night eagle edition?
The special thing is that the Compass Night Eagle will be available only in black paint scheme and it will also get gloss black detailing on the grille and window line with black jeep badge. Even the 18-inch alloy wheel will get a gloss black finish.
Inside the cabin of the Night Eagle will be an infotainment screen and gloss black trim around the AC vents as well as a special techno part-leather seat upholstery.
In addition, the Night Eagle Edition is expected to feature 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality, push-button start with key-entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, Xenon projector headlamps, dual Airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, ESP and Hill-Start Assist can be found.
Will Compass Knight Eagle get a new engine?
Jeep Compass received new petrol and diesel engine options in international markets last month. However, the Compass Night Eagle Standard for India will come with the compass’s 1.4-liter turbo-petrol engine (which generates 163 PSM and 250 Nm of torque) and a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine (which produces 173 horsepower and Generates torque of 350 Nm).
Both engines come with standard 6-speed manual gearbox, 7-speed dual-clutch auto in petrol and 9-speed torque-converter automatic option in diesel.
A four-wheel-drive system with surface-specific-mode is also available with the diesel engine.
Upcoming Projects of Jeep?
FCA India will launch the facelifted Jeep Compass in early 2021, with many design changes expected, including redesigned headlights, bumpers and grilles. The car company will then introduce the 7-seat version of the compass (codenamed 598 or Jeep ‘D-SUV’), which can get a more powerful 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine than before.
In terms of price, the Knight Eagle may be slightly more expensive than the Longitude Plus variant of the compass.
Longitude Plus has an initial Delhi ex-showroom price of Rs 19.70 lakh (petrol). Its diesel variant has an initial ex-showroom price of Rs 20.30 lakh which goes up to Rs 22.86 lakh.
